Luxor - A Royal Beginning

Welcome to Luxor — one of the greatest cities of the ancient world. Upon arrival at luxor Airport you will be welcomed by our Airport team and escorted to  Cleo the Dahabeya, where our crew welcomes you with an exclusive signature drink.

Your stylish cabin adorned with handcrafted fabrics, elegant woodwork, and sweeping views of the Nile  is ready for you. After your first gourmet lunch on board, your exploration begins with visits to the Luxor Temple and the magnificent Karnak Temple complex.

In the evening, you may choose (optional) to attend the famous Sound & Light Show at Karnak  an emotional and majestic spectacle.

Back on board, enjoy an elegant dinner followed by a refined welcome soirée under a sky full of stars.

The Wonders of Luxor & the Grace of Esna

Your day begins with a rich, freshly prepared breakfast. Optionally, you may marvel at Luxor from above during an exclusive hot air balloon flight over temples, palm groves, and golden fields.

You will then explore the treasures of the West Bank: the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon — all accompanied by your private Egyptologist.

As Cleo gently sails toward Esna, a beautifully composed gourmet lunch is served. In Esna, the hidden Temple of Khnum awaits — nine meters below street level, a quiet and mysterious treasure.

Afterwards, stroll through vibrant markets filled with handwoven textiles, spices, and traditional crafts.

Your evening concludes with a multi-course deluxe dinner  artfully crafted and inspired by the flavors of Egypt.

  • Esna, located some 33 miles south of Luxor, A thriving merchant town, Esna is best known for the small ancient Temple of Khnum, which sits 9 meters below street level.
  • Your trip will begin with a brief walk to the temple and a stroll through streets filled with beautiful textiles and other exotic goods.

El Kab & Edfu - Encounters with Ancient Egypt

Your journey continues to the ancient city of El Kab, once the capital of Upper Egypt. Visit rock-cut tombs with breathtaking inscriptions and wander through a charming village on the Nile’s edge a rare glimpse into authentic life far from large tourist groups.

After an exquisite lunch on board, you arrive in Edfu. A graceful horse-carriage ride takes you through lively streets to the Temple of Horus one of the best-preserved temples in the world.

Returning to  Cleo, you sail to a private island. Relax in the lounge or enjoy a champagne cocktail at our elegant bar.

The night is yours: an exclusive barbecue dinner on the riverbank – romantic, atmospheric, accompanied by music, dance  and the warm Nile breeze.

  • El Kab, on the East bank of the Nile, was once the capital of Upper Egypt and is still home to the temple of Nekhbet, as well as a row of fascinating decorated tombs carved into the slope of the mountains.
  • Upon docking, you will embark on a beautiful walk through a small fishermen village to visit the necropolis.
  • In the afternoon, the boat will arrive at Edfu, home to the Greco-Roman temple dedicated to the god Horus.
  • This is among the best preserved of all Egyptian temples.
  • Horse and carriage will take you to the temple through the busy city streets.
  • After returning to the boat, you will set sail for a beautiful island.
SAIL & SWIM

This is a day devoted to the river: immediately after an optional morning walk and breakfast, you will set sail. In the afternoon, you will stop at an island for a stroll or to swim in the Nile. As dusk begins, there may be an opportunity to walk into the desert along a valley lined with boulders covered in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and stone-age inscriptions. These images mark the beginning of the shortest trail through the desert to Libya (28 days in ancient times). At night, the boat will tie up the foot of floodlit temple of Gebel Silsileh.

Gebel El Silsileh - A Place of Stillness Made Just for You

At first light, Cleo glides through one of the Nile’s most impressive landscapes. Enjoy a morning filled with peace and beauty.

Gebel El Silsileh is a place inaccessible to large ships – a hidden treasure. Visit the Temple of Horemheb and explore the ancient quarries where Egypt’s most magnificent temples were once carved.

Your Dahabeya anchors at a dreamy riverbank where a light deluxe lunch awaits you – a moment of pure tranquility.

In the afternoon, you may step into the vast desert on request – following an old caravan trail that once led to Libya.

Enjoy  our usual afternoon Tea with a special blend made for you. Relax on board at the plush lounges and enjoy the golden hour, or choose to join a lecture with our professional Egyptology on board.

Enjoy  delicious Dinner with authentic Egyptian flavors.

  • Here, the Nile, flowing between two mountains ranges, is at its narrowest.

  • You will often be the only visitors at this fascinating site, as large Nile cruisers are not allowed to stop here.

  • After visiting the small temple of Horemheb and walking through the sandstone quarries, where ancient Egyptians cut stone for many of their most famous temples.

  • You will then sail to a picturesque riverbank where you will stop for lunch and swimming.

KOM OMBO the Golden Glow of Aswan

After a restful morning, you reach Kom Ombo. This double temple, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, lies on one of the most beautiful bends of the Nile.
In the adjoining museum, you will encounter mummified crocodiles – mysterious witnesses of a long-forgotten era.
During lunch Cleo continues toward Aswan, one of Egypt’s most elegant destinations.
In the afternoon, visit the magical Philae Temple, rising from an island, and the impressive High Dam of Aswan.
Back on board, enjoy our signature sunset tea – a blend crafted exclusively for Cleo guests.
Your evening concludes with our gala dinner – refined, exquisite, and unforgettable.

  • After a night on the water and beneath the stars, the morning trip will take you to the town and temple of Kom Ombo.
  • The temple was built during the Ptolemaic period on the site of an older temple and at one of the most beautiful locations, on a bend on the river.
  • The temple was dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile-headed god.
  • After enjoying the temple, you will visit the new Crocodile Museum, which contains many mummified crocodiles, attesting to the importance the creature played in this region in ancient times.
Aswan - A Farewell Filled with Elegance

As you awaken, the desert glows in golden morning light – a final magical moment.
After a carefully prepared breakfast, your journey comes to an end. But your impressions, emotions, and memories will remain.
Our team arranges a comfortable transfer to your next destination.
Optional: We can organize a private deluxe excursion to Abu Simbel – stylish, relaxed, and tailored to you.

  • Awake to the beautiful sight of the desert closing in on the river at Aswan Bridge.
  • After Breakfast here cruise comes to an end.  
  • After breakfast a visit to the High Dam & Philae Tempel.
  • Transfer to Hotel, Airport and/or Abusimbel this depends on your choices and the booked itinerary.
